Knowledge Regarding Coronavirus Disease-19 Related to Nutritional Practices in Residents of Medan City, Indonesia

BACKGROUND: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new type of disease, which has never been identified in humans. Some the primary symptoms are associated with acute respiratory disorders, namely, fever, cough, and shortness breath. A person’s nutritional status affects risk infection clinical course COVID-19. Knowledge an important domain for formation behavior, because actions based on knowledge more than or behaviors that not knowledge. AIM: This study aims to determine relationship between level about COVID-19 balanced behavior people Medan City. METHODS: was descriptive analytical study, cross-sectional research design. samples consisted City residents, who met inclusion exclusion criteria convenient sampling method. data this were drawn from questionnaire, filled out online. RESULTS: From 200 analyzed, 88% had good towards COVID-19, 59% nutrition practices. There no significant difference mean score results practices certain demographic characteristics. analysis showed p = 0.22; prevalence ratio 2.711; confidence interval 95%= 1.123–6.541 correlation value 0.161. CONCLUSIONS: weak positive regarding residents City, Indonesia.
